WHO ARE WE?

Cypress Consulting and Search is a group led by three search professionals who have combined recruiting experience of over 70 years.   Between us, we have made hundreds and hundreds of placements covering almost any industry you’d like to name.

The benefit to you, the potential client or candidate, is that we are not narrow in our scope.  We understand what you do.  We understand what you need to get accomplished, and we can help you do that. 

HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?

Generally speaking, recruiting firms (and recruiters, for that matter) fall into one of two general descriptions.

The vast majority of those practicing today rely on job boards and web surfing to source both leads to potential clients and candidates. 

This sort of methodology may work or it may not.  Typically, firms that rely on job boards and other technology driven leads fill only 10-12% of the recruiting assignments they agree to undertake.  What happens to the rest?  They are either never filled at all, leaving the client with an organizational “black hole”, or the client fills the job using other means, sometimes the same job boards from which the recruiter sources candidates.  And at a much lower cost, too….Delete 
 

A small minority of recruiters and recruiting firms do it the old fashioned way.  We are such a firm.  We certainly use technology, but it is not our only means of sourcing candidates or finding potential clients. 

Instead, we talk to people…all sorts of people at all levels within an industry or an organization.  We ask them questions.  We get referrals to other people and ask them even more questions.  We build a network of information sources and rely on their industry expertise to keep us informed of top performers in their industry that we may be able to recruit for our clients.  They also keep us apprised of upcoming position vacancies we may help companies fill.

Done right, it is a very “word of mouth” business.  

It is our commitment for the “partnership” with our clients to produce results greater than the sum of our individual effects or capabilities. 

The Basics 

Our mission is simple.  Our clients come to us with a problem.  That problem is that there is a position open (or soon to be open) in their organization.

We discuss with our client precisely what a “good fit” candidate will be, what qualifications he or she will possess.

We find the talent and help them through the interview and vetting process.

The client acquires a talented new employee, and someone gets a great new career.
